Halloween 2 (H2) - Official Trailer [HD]

This trailer is seen as a horror film becuase of its quick scene cuts showing a helpless girl running around screaming and shouting for help. We know the girl is helpless because her leg is wrapped in a brace and she is holding onto the sides of walls to help her walk around. The quick scene cuts create a sense of panic to the viewer as they are not given a clear vision of what is happening.
There is a non-diegetic sound of an man speaking through a voice over, he has a deep mysterious voice giving the viewer a short gist of the film, using words like "madness" and sentances like "birth of evil" and "terrifying legend" allowing the veiwer to have an un-nerving feel to the trailer.
The diegectic sound chosen from the film is "Hello" which is spoken by the young girl at the beginning of the trailer, this line also as an echoing effect which emphasises the fact that this girl is alone. Another line used is "he's stronger then ever" again giving an un-nerving feeling to the viewers and allowing them to create the impression that this evil cannot be stopped.
At one point in the trailer there is a moment of silence with just the image of a girl in a bathroom with this evil man behind her this creates suspense and alomost the equivalent of an viewer holding their breath in shock as they watch this.
Throughout this trailer the scenes we are shown are dark are scenes of walls covered in blood and mud playing on the known fear of the night. The music also used in this trailer is low tempoed and eary but then can change to a quick beat to emphasise the chase scenes in the trailer. Although the music is used a constant scream, bridged from scene to scene to keep the constant idea of fear and helplessness in the viewer.
